Collision repair

  • Photograph every damaged area and write an estimate that lists each part and each step
  • Check behind the bumper and panels for hidden damage: brackets, the radiator support, sensors and wiring
  • Send the estimate and photos to your insurance adjuster and meet the adjuster here if they want to see the car
  • Document any hidden damage we find once parts come off and get it approved before doing that work
  • Repair or replace bumpers, panels, lights and trim, then paint and blend so the repair matches the car
  • Fix the mechanical side of the accident too: cooling system, suspension, steering and alignment
  • Scan the car after the repair and confirm the warning lights are off before you pick it up

Signs you need this

  • You were in an accident and the car still drives, but something looks or sounds wrong
  • Your insurer gave you a claim number and you need a shop to write the estimate
  • The car pulls, a warning light came on, or the steering wheel sits crooked since the hit
  • A bumper cover is loose, cracked or no longer lines up with the fenders
  • You got a low insurance estimate and want a second look before you sign anything

You get photos and a written estimate before any work starts. On an insurance claim you see what the insurer approved, your deductible and anything not covered before we begin, and nothing extra is added without your yes. Tax applies to parts only, not labor. You pick the warranty length, 90 days, 1 year or 2 years, and it prints on your invoice.

Right after the accident

Take photos of both cars, the damage, the other driver's license, registration and insurance card, and the scene. Report the claim to your insurer and write down the claim number.

If the car leaks fluid, overheats, pulls hard or shows a red warning light, do not drive it. Have it towed here, and we start with photos and an estimate.

How a claim works at our counter

You bring the car, the claim number and the adjuster's contact. We inspect, photograph and write the estimate, then send it to the adjuster. The insurer reviews it, may send someone to look at the car, and approves the repair.

Once parts come off, we often find damage nobody could see from outside. We document it and ask for a supplement, which is the insurer's approval for the added work. You get a text at each step, and you always know what you owe before we start.

Body and mechanical under one roof

A front end hit can crack the radiator, bend a control arm or knock the alignment out, not just the bumper. Because we are a mechanical shop too, we check and fix those parts in the same visit instead of sending you somewhere else after the paint dries.

Questions people ask

Do I have to use the shop my insurance company suggests?
Read your policy and ask your adjuster. Insurers often suggest shops, and a suggestion is not the same as a requirement. If you want the car here, tell your adjuster and we send them the estimate and photos. If your policy does require a specific shop, ask what changes for your claim before you decide.
Can you work with my adjuster?
Yes. Bring your claim number and the adjuster's contact. We send the estimate and photos, and if the adjuster wants to inspect the car, they can do it here. We are an independent shop, so your insurer decides what the policy pays. We cannot promise what they approve.
What if you find more damage after you take it apart?
That is common, because a lot of damage hides behind the bumper cover. We photograph it, write it up and send it to the insurer for approval, or to you if you are paying yourself. We do not do that extra work until it is approved.
What do I pay on an insurance claim?
Usually your deductible plus anything the insurer does not approve. You see that number in writing before we start, so there is no surprise at pickup.
Can I skip insurance and pay myself?
Yes. Some drivers do that for smaller damage to keep the claim off their record. You get the same written price and photos, and you decide.
Do you tow or give loaner cars?
No. If the car is not safe to drive, have it towed here; your insurer or roadside plan may cover the tow. Many policies include rental car coverage, so ask your adjuster about that too.
