Electric and hybrid repair, every brand
Bring any electric car or hybrid to one independent shop near Bird Road and the Palmetto Expressway, and see the price in writing before any work starts. We check your factory warranty and open recalls first, because an independent shop cannot do factory warranty work, and a covered repair belongs with the manufacturer.

Learn moreWhat we do for EVs and hybrids
Most EV visits start with a question: a warning message you have never seen, a car that will not wake up, a charge that stops early or range that dropped for no clear reason. We run EV diagnostics, read the fault codes and explain them in plain words before anyone reaches for a part.
From there, the usual jobs are the 12V battery that powers the car's computers, charge port and onboard charger faults, EV tires and alignment, and brakes that rust because regenerative braking does most of the stopping. We also run high-voltage battery health checks and hand you a written report, which is worth having before you buy, sell or trade in an EV.
Hybrids get the same treatment: hybrid battery testing, hybrid system warnings, the 12V battery and the engine maintenance the gas side still needs.
Every EV and hybrid brand
We work on the Tesla Model 3, Model Y, Model S and Model X, Rivian R1T and R1S, Ford Mustang Mach-E and F-150 Lightning, Hyundai Ioniq 5 and Ioniq 6, Kia EV6 and EV9, Chevrolet Bolt, Equinox EV and Blazer EV, Nissan Leaf and Ariya, Volkswagen ID.4, BMW i4 and iX, Mercedes EQ models, Porsche Taycan, Polestar and Lucid.
On the hybrid side, that means the Toyota Prius, Camry, RAV4, Sienna and Highlander, Lexus hybrids, Honda Accord and CR-V hybrids, Hyundai and Kia hybrids, and plug-in hybrids like the Jeep 4xe models.
Warranty and recalls come first
EV makers usually cover the high-voltage battery and drive system far longer than the rest of the car, and several popular EVs have had recalls on batteries or charging parts. That is why the first thing we do is check your VIN.
Sprinter Garage is an independent shop, so we cannot do factory warranty or recall work. What we can do is tell you, before you spend anything, whether a problem belongs to the manufacturer. Anything that does not gets a written price from us.
Using an independent shop for maintenance and out-of-warranty repairs does not void your factory warranty. Federal law protects your right to choose where your car is serviced.

What is your EV doing?
My electric car won't charge
When an EV will not charge, it is often the charger or outlet, a charge port latch or pins that are dirty or damaged, or a weak 12 volt battery that keeps the car from waking up.

Can an independent shop work on my EV?
Yes, for most repairs, and it does not void your factory warranty. What an independent shop cannot do is the warranty and recall work the manufacturer pays for, so that is the first thing a good shop checks.

What maintenance does an electric car actually need?
Less than a gas car, but not zero. You can forget oil changes and spark plugs, but tires, brakes, cabin air filters, coolant, the 12V battery and the health of the big battery still need attention, and South Florida heat and humidity move some of those dates up.

Your Tesla out of warranty
When the basic warranty ends, most of the car becomes your cost, but the battery and drive unit usually stay covered much longer. Knowing which parts wear, and where you can get them fixed, keeps ownership predictable.

Why EV tires wear faster
Many EV owners are surprised by how soon they need new tires. The reasons are weight, torque, and tire choice, and most of them can be managed with the right tires, the right pressure, and regular rotation and alignment.
