Auto paint

  • Repair scratches, chips and scuffs, from one spot to a whole panel
  • Match the color from your car's paint code and check it against the car before painting
  • Blend the new paint into the panels next to it so the repair does not stand out
  • Strip and redo peeling or chalky clear coat that the Florida sun has broken down
  • Repaint single panels, bumpers, mirrors and trim
  • Do full repaints in the original color or a new one
  • Prep the surface right, because most paint failures start with bad prep, not bad paint

Signs you need this

  • The clear coat on the roof, hood or trunk is peeling, cloudy or chalky
  • A key scratch or scrape you can feel with a fingernail
  • A panel that was repainted before and no longer matches
  • Chips on the hood and bumper that are starting to rust
  • You want a different color or a full refresh before selling

You get a written price before we sand anything, listing the panels, the prep and the materials. Tax applies to parts only, not labor. You pick the warranty length, 90 days, 1 year or 2 years, and the terms print on your invoice.

South Florida is hard on paint

Strong sun all year breaks down clear coat, especially on the roof, hood and trunk. Salt air near the coast and summer rain that dries in the sun leave spots that etch the surface. Lovebug season leaves remains that eat into paint if they sit.

A small paint repair done early costs less than a panel that has started to peel or rust.

How we match a color

Every car has a paint code, usually on a label in the door jamb or under the hood. That is the starting point. Then we check the mix against your car, because age and sun change how a color looks.

We blend the new color into the panels next to the repair so your eye does not catch a line, and we finish with clear coat to protect it.

Questions people ask

Why is my clear coat peeling?
Years of strong sun break down the clear coat on the surfaces that face up: the roof, hood and trunk. Once it starts peeling, it does not stop. The fix is to remove the failed clear, then refinish the panel.
Can you match my color exactly?
We start from your car's paint code, then compare against the car itself, because the same code can vary a little by factory and age. Blending into the panels next to the repair is what makes it disappear to the eye.
Can I just paint one panel?
Yes. Most paint jobs are one or two panels. On faded or older paint, we may suggest blending into the next panel so the color change is gradual, and we tell you why before you approve it.
How much is a full repaint?
It depends on the size of the car, how much prep the body needs, and whether door jambs and under the hood get painted too. We look at the car and give you a written price. We do not guess over the phone.
How do I care for new paint?
We tell you at pickup how long to wait before waxing and machine washing. Hand washing and parking in shade when you can help any paint last longer here.
