From Dadeland Mall, get on Kendall Drive (SW 88th St) and take the ramp to the Palmetto Expressway north. Get off at Miller Drive (SW 56th St), turn right, then left on SW 72nd Ave, go north about a mile and turn left on SW 42nd St. That is about 9 minutes outside rush hour.
From Baptist Hospital and the middle of Kendall, take the Don Shula Expressway (SR 874, a toll road) north to the Bird Road exit. Turn right on Bird Road, then right on SW 72nd Ave and right on SW 42nd St. That is about 10 to 11 minutes outside rush hour.
Heat, humidity and EV brakes
Regenerative braking does most of the stopping in an EV, so the pads and rotors barely work. In humid Miami air, rotors rust and caliper slides stick, and the first sign is often a grind after the car sits for a few days. A brake cleaning and lubrication usually comes before new parts.
Heat is also hard on the 12V battery that wakes the car's computers. When it gets weak, the car can show warnings or refuse to wake up, even with a full high-voltage battery.
