Mercedes-Benz GLC repair in Miami

The GLC is a family SUV that shares a lot with the C-Class under the skin, including the 2.0L turbo engine in the GLC 300. We do Service A and B, check open recalls first and give you a written price before any work.

What we see on the GLC

Check engine light and oil in the plugs

On the 2.0L turbo four in 2016 to 2022 GLC 300s, the camshaft adjuster magnets are known to leak oil into their plugs. The oil can wick up the wiring, so we fix the leak and check the harness.

Check engine light

Auxiliary battery warning

Many GLCs use a small second battery that backs up some electrical systems. When it weakens, the dash shows an auxiliary battery warning. We test both batteries before we replace either one.

Battery replacement

Engine will not turn over

Mercedes recalled certain 2016 and 2017 GLC 300s because repeated start attempts can overheat the starting current limiter and create a fire risk (NHTSA 17V114). If the engine will not turn over, stop trying and have it checked.

Starter and alternator

Headlight out after rain

Mercedes recalled certain 2021 GLC models because the headlight connection may not be watertight, which can make the headlight fail (NHTSA 22V261). With Miami rain, that matters. We check your VIN first.

Electrical repair

Fuel smell on a 2023 GLC 300

Mercedes recalled certain 2023 GLC 300s because the wrong screws on the high pressure fuel pump may keep it from sealing, which can leak fuel (NHTSA 23V878). If you smell fuel, park it and call or text us.

Car diagnostics

Brake wear warning on the dash

Stop-and-go Miami traffic is hard on a family SUV's brakes. Mercedes pad wear sensors turn on a warning when the pads are near the end, and the sensor is replaced with the pads. We measure the rotors too and send photos.

Questions people ask

Do I have to go to the dealer for service?
No. You can service your Mercedes at any shop and keep the factory warranty, as long as the work meets Mercedes specs and you keep the records. We use oil that meets the approval for your engine and write it on your record.
Do you work on the 2023 and newer GLC?
Yes. 2023 and newer GLC 300s use a 48-volt mild hybrid system with an integrated starter generator. We check open recalls and test the 48-volt system along with the regular battery.
Do you work on the GLC plug-in hybrid?
Yes. We work on hybrids of every brand. We check factory warranty and open recalls first, then give you a written price for anything that is not covered.
