Sprinter Garage

Bought a car from AutoNation? What Sprinter Garage can do for you

AutoNation sells new and used cars across South Florida, and many buyers also leave with a protection product. Some AutoNation products can be used at any licensed repair facility, and one, the Vehicle Care Plan sold alone, must be redeemed at an AutoNation dealership. Here is how to tell which you have and where we fit in.

AutoNation at Sprinter Garage

  1. 1
    Read your agreement

Find the product name and the terms on the back of your agreement. If it says VCP only, repairs under it go to an AutoNation store.

  2. 2
Bring it to us when it applies

If your product allows any licensed repair facility, send us the agreement number and mileage before any repair starts.

  3. 3
    Diagnosis and documentation

We diagnose, photograph the failure and contact the administrator named on your agreement with what it asks for.

  4. 4
    Everything else, written price first

For maintenance and repairs outside coverage, you get a written price for your exact car before any work.

  • A written price for your vehicle before any work starts.
  • Sales tax on parts only, never on labor.
  • You pick the shop warranty: 90 days, 1 year, or 2 years.
  • Photos with every estimate and a text at each step.

What AutoNation says about its own coverage

AutoNation's dealer FAQ lists a 5 day or 250 mile money back guarantee on used vehicles. AutoNation Certified vehicles are sold after an inspection of up to 125 points and carry a 90 day, 4,000 mile warranty. Repairs done at AutoNation service departments are guaranteed for 12 months or 12,000 miles.

Those dealer guarantees are serviced by AutoNation. If your car is still inside one of them, start with the store.

Protection products: where they can be used

AutoNation's FAQ says most of its protection products can be used at any licensed repair facility in the United States and Canada, according to the terms on your agreement. The exception it names is VCP only, which must be redeemed at an AutoNation dealership.

If your agreement allows any licensed facility, we can open the claim with the administrator named on it, document the failure with photos, and explain the answer in writing before any work.

Inspections inside the money back window

The first days after a used car purchase are the best time for an independent look. A post-purchase inspection on our lift checks brakes, suspension, leaks, fluids, codes and tires, so you know what you bought while you still have choices.
