Why Miami is hard on transmissions
Heat is the biggest factor. Transmission fluid breaks down faster when it runs hot, and Miami cars sit in hot traffic for much of the year. Add stop-and-go driving and vans that carry weight all day, and the fluid wears out sooner than most drivers expect.
Flooded streets are the other one. Driving through deep standing water can push water into a transmission or differential through its vent, and water turns the fluid milky. If you drove through a flooded street and now notice slipping or odd noises, have it checked soon.
How every job works
A slipping transmission does not always need a rebuild. Sometimes it is low fluid, a leak or a solenoid, so we find the cause before we recommend anything. When the cause is not clear yet, you approve the diagnostic fee first.
You get a written price with photos of what we found, and sales tax on parts only. You pick the warranty: 90 days, 1 year or 2 years. We text you when the car is checked in, when the estimate is sent, when you approve and when it is ready, and the counter speaks English and Spanish.
