Transmission repair for Westchester drivers

The engine revs but the car is slow to pick up speed. Shifts come hard or late, especially after sitting in traffic. There is a pause when you put it in Drive or Reverse.

Also watch for red or brown spots where you park, a check engine light that shows up along with a shifting problem, and a burning smell after a slow commute. Any one of these is worth a diagnosis before it gets worse.
