How HONK works

HONK is an app and mobile site for roadside help: tows, flat tires, dead batteries, lockouts, fuel and winch outs. HONK says there is no membership fee in its pay on demand service. You see the price before you confirm, and for a tow the price depends on the miles to the destination you set.

HONK also runs roadside programs for other companies, so your insurance or car plan may send a HONK truck. In that case your plan's own rules on tow miles apply.

Setting the destination

HONK says you can pick the drop off from its map, from a list of repair shops, or by entering any address. Typing our address works the same as any other. If the car is near Westchester, Coral Terrace, Olympia Heights or South Miami, the trip to us is short.

What we do not do

We do not tow and we do not do mobile repairs. If the car only needs a jump or a tire swap, HONK may solve it on the spot. If it needs real repair, have it towed to us and we take it from there.

Can HONK tow my car to the shop I choose?
Yes. HONK says you set the destination when you order, from its map, its list, or any address you type. The price you see depends on that distance.
Do I need a HONK membership?
HONK says its on demand service has no membership fee. You pay for the service you order. If your insurer or car plan sent the truck, that plan's rules apply.
Will you be open when the tow arrives?
Call or text us before you send the car, or book online, so we can confirm someone will receive it.
What happens after my car gets to your shop?
We diagnose it, take photos, and send you a written price for your exact car. Sales tax is charged on parts only, and nothing is added without your yes.
Can you come to me instead?
No. We do not do mobile service or towing. That is why a HONK tow to our shop is the usual route.
