About A Girls Guide to Cars
A Girls Guide to Cars is an automotive publication co-founded in 2018 by Scotty Reiss. It says its purpose is to empower women through knowledge and community, since women buy or influence most car purchases but are often overlooked. It covers car reviews, buying, maintenance, safety and technology, plus podcasts and video.
It is a publication, not a repair shop network. We did not find a shop referral program on its site.
Questions worth asking any shop
Ask for a written price before work starts. Ask to see photos or the old part. Ask what is urgent and what can wait. Ask what warranty you get on parts and labor. A good shop answers all of these without making you feel rushed.
How we keep it clear
Every estimate comes with photos. We separate what needs doing now from what can wait. Sales tax is charged on parts only. We text you at each step, and nothing gets added without your yes.
