Sprinter Garage

FIXD showed a check engine code. Get it confirmed at a Miami shop

FIXD reads the trouble code and tells you how serious it may be. A code points to a system, not always to the exact bad part. Bring the code to Sprinter Garage and we test the car to find the real cause before you pay for parts.

What FIXD tells you

FIXD is a small Bluetooth sensor that plugs into the OBD2 port under the dash and pairs with a phone app. FIXD says it works with gas cars and trucks from 1996 on and diesels from 2008 on. It turns codes into plain English and rates how severe the problem is.

FIXD Premium adds parts and labor estimates, an Issue Forecast of likely future problems, and a Mechanic Hotline with live mechanics.

Why the code is a starting point

A code like P0420 says the catalytic converter is not testing as efficient. The cause can be the converter, an oxygen sensor, an exhaust leak or an engine problem. A misfire code can be a coil, a plug, an injector or a vacuum leak. We test before we replace so you do not pay for a part that was not the problem.

If you clear the code with the app, the car loses some of the data we use to find the cause. If the light comes back, leave it on and come in.

Comparing estimates

FIXD suggests comparing its estimate with your shop's itemized quote. Our quote is written for your exact car after the diagnosis, with parts and labor listed. Sales tax is charged on parts only.

Questions people ask

FIXD says my check engine light is severe. Can I drive to your shop?
If FIXD or the dash shows a flashing check engine light, overheating or low oil pressure, do not drive it. Have it towed. Otherwise book and bring it in.
Do you charge to read a FIXD code?
We confirm the code and test the system as a diagnosis. We tell you the price for your car before we start.
FIXD estimated a repair cost. Will your price match it?
Our price comes from the diagnosis of your exact car, so it may be different. We list parts and labor so you can compare line by line.
Should I clear the code with FIXD before coming in?
Better not. Clearing it erases data that helps us find the cause. Screenshot it and leave the light on.
Does FIXD work on my hybrid or EV?
FIXD lists gas cars from 1996 and diesels from 2008. Hybrid and EV systems have many more modules. We diagnose hybrids and EVs of every brand.
