Ran a BeenVerified VIN lookup? Now check the car itself

A BeenVerified VIN lookup can show reported accidents, salvage or theft listings, sales listings and an estimated market value. What it cannot show is what is wrong with the car today. Before you hand over money in Miami, bring the car to Sprinter Garage for a pre-purchase inspection.

BeenVerified at Sprinter Garage

  1. 1
    Keep the VIN report

Bring or text us what BeenVerified showed: accident entries, salvage listings, odometer readings and recalls.

  2. 2
Bring the car before you pay

Ask the seller to let you bring it to 7217 SW 42nd St for an inspection. A seller who refuses is telling you something.

  3. 3
    We inspect on the lift

We check brakes, suspension, leaks, fluids, codes, tires, AC and signs of flood or accident repair, including panel fit and paint, with photos.

  4. 4
    Written findings

You get a written list of what we found and what repairs would cost for that exact car, so you can negotiate or walk away.

  • A written price for your vehicle before any work starts.
  • Sales tax on parts only, never on labor.
  • You pick the shop warranty: 90 days, 1 year, or 2 years.
  • Photos with every estimate and a text at each step.

What BeenVerified's VIN lookup covers

BeenVerified says a VIN search may reveal whether the vehicle was in an accident and how bad the damage was, whether it was listed at a salvage auction or reported stolen, standard equipment, sales listing history with prices and photos, current market value from comparable sales, and estimated ownership costs over five years. If you already own the car, it can alert you to safety recalls and warranty coverage.

BeenVerified also says it is not a consumer reporting agency, and its data comes from records that only include what was reported.

Why a clean report is not a clean car

Many accidents are never reported to insurance. Flood exposure in South Florida does not always lead to a branded title. Deferred maintenance, worn transmissions and failing AC never show up in public records.

Our inspection looks at the car, not the paperwork. Pair it with the VIN report and you get both the history and the current condition.

Questions people ask

Is a BeenVerified VIN report enough to buy a used car?
It is a useful start for reported history, but it cannot show the car's current mechanical condition. A pre-purchase inspection checks what records miss. Use both.
The report shows an accident. Should I still buy?
It depends on what was damaged and how it was fixed. We check suspension, alignment, leaks and other mechanical signs. We also do body and paint work, so we look at panel fit and paint for signs of past repair and can give you a written estimate for anything that needs fixing.
Can you check for flood damage in Miami?
We look for signs like corrosion, moisture, silt and electrical faults during the inspection. No inspection can rule out every past problem, and we tell you what we see with photos.
How long does a pre-purchase inspection take?
It depends on the vehicle. Book online or text us the year, make and model and we will tell you what to expect before you come.
