Checked a car on Bumper? Pair the report with a Miami inspection

Bumper is a vehicle history and VIN lookup service, not a warranty company. Its reports pull accident, title, salvage, theft and recall records and estimate market value. Use it to decide if a car is worth a look, then bring that car to Sprinter Garage so we can tell you what condition it is in today.

What a Bumper report includes

Bumper describes itself as a platform to buy, sell or own a vehicle. Its reports draw on federal sources such as NMVTIS and NHTSA, state agencies and industry data. Bumper says reports can show accident, salvage and theft history, ownership, title and lien details, odometer checks, recalls, warranty information and market value estimates.

Bumper also notes that it cannot guarantee the information is complete or accurate. Records only hold what someone reported.

Open recalls: we check, the dealer fixes

If Bumper shows an open recall, recall repairs are done free by a franchised dealer for that brand. We can point it out during an inspection so you can schedule it with the dealer. For everything else the report hints at, from a rebuilt title to high mileage, we inspect and give you a written price for the repairs that car would need.

Questions people ask

Does Bumper sell extended warranties?
Bumper's own FAQ describes it as a vehicle history and information platform. Its reports may show warranty information from records. If you have a separate protection plan, check who administers it.
Bumper shows a clean title. Do I still need an inspection?
Yes. A clean title tells you nothing about worn brakes, a slipping transmission or a weak AC. An inspection checks the car's condition today.
Bumper shows an open recall. Can you fix it?
Recall repairs are done by a franchised dealer for that brand at no charge. We can flag it in our inspection and handle any other repairs the car needs.
Can I use Bumper to check a car I already own?
Bumper says owners can monitor value and recalls. If your car has a warning light or symptom, book a diagnosis with us and bring your report.

Sprinter Garage is an independent repair shop. We are not affiliated with or endorsed by Bumper, and Bumper does not own this shop. Bumper and its marks belong to their owners. What your contract or plan covers is decided by Bumper, not by the shop.
