Ran a VinCheckUp report on a used car in Miami? Inspect it next
A VinCheckUp report tells you what has been recorded about a car: title brands, accidents, odometer readings, recalls and more. It cannot tell you how the engine, transmission or AC work today. A pre-purchase inspection at Sprinter Garage near Bird Road checks the car itself, so you can buy, negotiate or walk away with facts.
VinCheckUp at Sprinter Garage
- 1Bring the report
Print or save your VinCheckUp report. We look for anything worth checking closely, like a title brand or an odometer gap.
- 2Book the inspection
Book online or call or text us. Ask the seller to bring the car to 7217 SW 42nd St, since we do not do mobile inspections.
- 3We inspect and road test
Engine, transmission, brakes, suspension, cooling, AC, electrical, plus a code scan. For hybrids and EVs, battery health.
- 4Written findings
You get photos and a written list with prices for anything that needs work. The decision is yours.
- A written price for your vehicle before any work starts.
- Sales tax on parts only, never on labor.
- You pick the shop warranty: 90 days, 1 year, or 2 years.
- Photos with every estimate and a text at each step.
What a VinCheckUp report covers
VinCheckUp is a VIN history service for cars, trucks, vans, RVs and motorcycles built after 1980. Its reports may include accident history, title records and brands such as salvage or lemon, odometer history and possible tampering, service records, safety recalls, theft records, sale and lien records, auction records, and commercial use. It says it uses the National Motor Vehicle Title Information System along with other sources.
The first VIN search is free. A full report requires registration and payment.
Where a report stops and an inspection starts
A report is only as complete as what was reported. A repair paid in cash or a flood that never became an insurance claim may not show up. In Miami, where cars sit through heavy rain and flooded streets, look for water signs in person as well as on paper.
On our lift we can see leaks, worn suspension parts, corrosion, codes stored after a recent battery disconnect, and how the transmission actually shifts.
If the report shows a recall
Open recalls are fixed by the brand's dealer. Ask the seller whether it was done. We will note it on the inspection if we see it.
