Use your CARS Protection Plus contract at a Miami repair shop

CARS Protection Plus contracts are sold through thousands of car dealers, often on used cars. CARS lets you pick your repair facility within its rules, and it is strict about one thing: the shop must open a claim and get an authorization number before any repair. Sprinter Garage follows those steps from diagnosis to invoice.

CARS Protection Plus at Sprinter Garage

  1. 1
    Check your digital ID card

CARS emails a digital ID card about 30 days after your contract is accepted. Send us the contract details and your mileage.

  2. 2
Diagnosis and teardown only with OK

CARS expects a shop that can diagnose and tear down components. We diagnose, photograph, and get your OK and CARS's before taking anything apart.

  3. 3
    Open the claim first

We contact CARS or use its online portal to open the claim and get the authorization number before any repair.

  4. 4
    Your yes in writing

You get the approved work, your deductible and any non covered items in writing before we start.

  5. 5
    Invoice CARS's way

CARS returns invoices missing required items. Ours include the authorization number, part warranty details, VIN, mileage and owner information.

  • A written price for your vehicle before any work starts.
  • Sales tax on parts only, never on labor.
  • You pick the shop warranty: 90 days, 1 year, or 2 years.
  • Photos with every estimate and a text at each step.

Its rules for the repair facility

You may choose your facility, but CARS reserves the right to have repairs done somewhere else. It also says it will not pay unauthorized repair invoices.

CARS can pay the shop directly or reimburse you after a final invoice, depending on the case. Your deductible and rental benefits vary by contract, so check your ID card or contract.
