Empire State Warranty claim in Miami: the shop files it

With Empire State Warranty, you do not file the claim yourself. Its claims FAQ says all claims must be submitted by a repair facility, and any licensed facility can do it. Sprinter Garage diagnoses your car, files the claim with the details Empire State Warranty asks for, and shows you the answer in writing before any work.

About Empire State Warranty

Empire State Warranty is a vehicle service contract company based in Albany, New York. Its contracts are backed by Old Republic Insurance Company. It works mainly through car dealers, who sell its plans to buyers. Its site mentions plan levels including an Elite plan that covers items like 4x4 and high-tech systems.

If you bought a used car in New York or elsewhere on the East Coast and then moved to Miami, your contract may still be active. Check the term and mileage limits on it.

Any licensed facility, and its own network

Empire State Warranty's claims FAQ says customers can use any licensed repair facility. It also runs its own program for repair facilities it has approved, with perks such as faster payment, and a disappearing deductible benefit that applies at those network facilities. We are an independent shop and not part of that program. Read your contract for how your deductible works at an outside shop.

What the claim needs

The administrator asks the repair facility for an estimate with parts and labor separated, the current odometer reading, and diagnostic information. Missing items slow things down. We send it complete the first time and answer follow-up questions from the adjuster.

Questions people ask

Can I file my own Empire State Warranty claim?
No. Its claims FAQ says consumers are not responsible or permitted to file a claim, and all claims must be submitted by a repair facility. Bring the car to us and we file it.
Can I use Empire State Warranty at a Miami shop that is not in its network?
Its FAQ says you can use any licensed repair facility. Network shops get extra benefits from the administrator, and some deductible perks apply only there, so check your contract.
What does Empire State Warranty need from the shop?
An estimate with parts and labor broken out, the odometer reading, and diagnostic information. We include photos too.
My car was bought up north. Will a Miami shop take the claim?
If the contract is active, a licensed repair facility can file it. We diagnose first and file before any work.

Sprinter Garage is an independent repair shop. We are not affiliated with or endorsed by Empire State Warranty, and Empire State Warranty does not own this shop.
