Have an autopom! vehicle protection plan? Here is how a claim works in Miami

autopom! is a broker. It helps you compare and buy a vehicle protection plan, but it is not the warranty provider and it does not decide claims. When something breaks, the administrator named on your contract does. Bring the car and the wallet card to Sprinter Garage and we get that administrator's answer before any repair.

  1. 1
    Find your wallet card

autopom! says your contract number and the claims administrator's contact are on your wallet card. Send us both with your mileage.

  2. 2
    Tell us about the plan

autopom! advises telling the service advisor about your coverage up front. We note it on the repair order.

  3. 3
    Diagnosis and photos

We diagnose the failure and document it so the administrator can review it.

  4. 4
    Prior approval

autopom! says the repair facility must get prior approval before repairs begin. We do not start covered work until the administrator answers.

  5. 5
    Written answer, then repair

You get the approved work, deductible and non covered items in writing, then we repair and bill the administrator for its part.

  • A written price for your vehicle before any work starts.
  • Sales tax on parts only, never on labor.
  • You pick the shop warranty: 90 days, 1 year, or 2 years.
  • Photos with every estimate and a text at each step.

What autopom! is, in its own words

autopom! has sold vehicle protection plans since 2010 and describes itself as an independent broker, not a manufacturer, warranty provider, claims administrator or claims decision maker. The plans it sells are agreements between you and a third party provider.

It groups plans into three levels: Exclusionary for the broadest coverage, Mid Level, and Powertrain Essentials for basic coverage. Your contract names the actual provider and administrator.

Waiting periods catch people out

autopom! says plans it sells carry a standard 30 day and 1,000 mile waiting period before coverage starts, with some vehicles qualifying for other options. Problems that start during the waiting period are not covered.

If you bought recently, check the start date on your contract before opening a claim. We can still diagnose and give you a written price either way.

Which shops can you use

autopom!'s FAQ tells you to take the vehicle to a licensed repair facility and ask whether it accepts third party protection plans. We do work with third party administrators on claims, and we never promise an outcome: the administrator decides under your contract.

Questions people ask

Does autopom! pay for my repair?
No. autopom! says it is a broker, not the warranty provider or the claims decision maker. The administrator named on your contract reviews and pays covered claims.
How do I file a claim on a plan I bought from autopom!?
autopom! says to take the car to a licensed repair facility, tell the service advisor about the coverage, and give the contract number and the administrator's number from your wallet card. The shop gets prior approval before repairing. We handle that call.
My car broke two weeks after I bought the plan. Is it covered?
autopom! says its plans have a standard 30 day and 1,000 mile waiting period, with some alternatives. Issues during the waiting period are not covered. Check your contract's start date.
Which autopom! plan covers AC or electrical problems?
Coverage depends on your plan level and contract. Exclusionary plans are the broadest; Powertrain Essentials covers the basics. Read your contract or ask the administrator.

Sprinter Garage is an independent repair shop. We are not affiliated with or endorsed by autopom!, and autopom! does not own this shop. autopom! and its marks belong to their owners. What your contract or plan covers is decided by autopom!, not by the shop.
