Smart AutoCare contract? How a claim works at a Miami shop
Smart AutoCare runs its own claims with in house adjusters. Its process starts with you calling Smart AutoCare, then the shop sends the repair details. Sprinter Garage can diagnose the car, send what the adjuster needs, and tell you in writing what is approved before any work.
Smart AutoCare at Sprinter Garage
- 1Call Smart AutoCare first
Smart AutoCare asks contract holders to contact it first. Ask it to confirm our shop meets your contract's repair shop rules, and tell it we are diagnosing the car.
- 2We diagnose and photograph
We find the cause and document it with photos, codes and mileage.
- 3We send the repair details
Smart AutoCare says the repair facility then calls in the exact details, and its claims team sends the decision to the shop.
- 4Written breakdown for you
Before work, you get in writing what was approved, the deductible, and what is not covered.
- 5Repair and payment
Smart AutoCare says shops can be paid by credit card or check on approved claims. You pay your deductible.
- A written price for your vehicle before any work starts.
- Sales tax on parts only, never on labor.
- You pick the shop warranty: 90 days, 1 year, or 2 years.
- Photos with every estimate and a text at each step.
About Smart AutoCare
Smart AutoCare has offered vehicle service contracts since 1990. It sells through dealers and agents and administers its own contracts with an in house claims team. Its coverage runs from basic Powertrain up to Total Exclusionary, with new, used, certified and wrap options.
Smart AutoCare also lists 24 hour roadside assistance with towing, lockout help, fuel delivery and substitute transportation.
Which shops qualify
Smart AutoCare's site says you can pick any ASE certified repair shop of your choice. Your contract has the exact rule. Because it is your contract and Smart AutoCare's call, ask them to confirm our shop qualifies before you authorize anything. We are glad to get on that call with you.
Claims speed
Smart AutoCare says most claims are handled within a couple of hours, and its claims line runs early morning to midnight Central time, every day. We still never promise approval. The adjuster decides under your contract.
