CARCHEX at Sprinter Garage

  1. 1
    Prevent more damage

CARCHEX's first step is to stop driving if continuing would make it worse, and use roadside assistance if you need a tow. Have it brought to 7217 SW 42nd St.

  2. 2
    Choose the repair facility

CARCHEX's second step is taking the vehicle to a repair facility of your choice. Book with us or text us your plan details.

  3. 3
    Authorize the diagnosis

You OK the diagnosis only. We find the cause and photograph it.

  4. 4
    We call the claims department

We contact the claims department listed on your contract for approval and an authorization number for covered repairs.

  5. 5
    Pay your deductible, pick up

CARCHEX says the shop is paid by credit card when the repair is done and you pay your deductible. Everything else is in writing first.

  • A written price for your vehicle before any work starts.
  • Sales tax on parts only, never on labor.
  • You pick the shop warranty: 90 days, 1 year, or 2 years.
  • Photos with every estimate and a text at each step.

CARCHEX plans and who stands behind them

CARCHEX sells extended vehicle protection plans in tiers named Titanium, Platinum, Gold, Silver and Bronze. Its site states that the vehicle service contracts are provided by Liberty STF, Inc., and its FAQ explains that part of what you pay goes into a provider claims reserve account backed by insurers. Your contract names the administrator who decides claims.

CARCHEX lists 24/7 roadside assistance, towing and rental options on qualified repairs among plan benefits. Check your tier.

Maintenance and transfers

CARCHEX's FAQ says you must keep maintaining the vehicle to the manufacturer's specifications after you buy a plan. Keep every oil change receipt, ours included; adjusters ask for them.

Plans are transferable for a fee if you sell the car, and CARCHEX lists a lower transfer fee for Florida residents. That is worth knowing when you sell privately in Miami.

Questions people ask

Do I need maintenance records for a CARCHEX claim?
CARCHEX says you must maintain the vehicle to the manufacturer's specifications. Keep receipts for oil changes and service. They help if the administrator asks.

Sprinter Garage is an independent repair shop. We are not affiliated with or endorsed by CARCHEX, and CARCHEX does not own this shop. CARCHEX and its marks belong to their owners. What your contract or plan covers is decided by CARCHEX, not by the shop.
