AvantaGuard contract and you can't return to the selling dealer? Start here

AvantaGuard contracts are sold through car dealers, and AvantaGuard's FAQ says that if you are unable to return to the selling dealer for repairs, you should contact AvantaGuard and it will help you find a repair shop. Many Miami owners bought out of town or from a dealer that no longer fits. Bring the car to Sprinter Garage and we handle the call and the paperwork with you.

AvantaGuard at Sprinter Garage

  1. 1
    Gather your claim details

AvantaGuard asks for your contract number, the last 6 digits of the VIN, your name, phone, a description of the problem, and the repair facility's name and contact.

  2. 2
Talk to AvantaGuard about the shop

If your contract points you to the selling dealer, contact AvantaGuard first and tell them you want to use our shop. We can give you our details to pass along.

  3. 3
    Diagnosis, then the call

We diagnose, photograph the failure, and call AvantaGuard for the OK before performing the repair, as its claims page instructs.

  4. 4
    Your decision in writing

You see what is covered, your deductible and what is not, in writing, before we touch the repair.

  • A written price for your vehicle before any work starts.
  • Sales tax on parts only, never on labor.
  • You pick the shop warranty: 90 days, 1 year, or 2 years.
  • Photos with every estimate and a text at each step.

Who AvantaGuard is

AvantaGuard describes itself as an administrator of warranty and vehicle protection products for the automotive F&I industry, meaning the products are sold in the finance office when you buy a car. It says it focuses on the experience from purchase to claim.

How AvantaGuard says claims are paid

According to AvantaGuard's FAQ, the repair shop where you take your vehicle usually submits the claim. Once the claim is approved, the shop does the repair and sends the invoice directly to AvantaGuard, which pays the shop up front. That means you are not fronting the covered cost and waiting for a check.

Your part is any deductible in your contract and anything not covered. We list both before work starts so there are no surprises at pickup.

Why the selling dealer question matters

Dealer sold contracts often expect you to return to the selling dealer when you can. If you moved to Miami, bought across the state, or the dealer is far from home, AvantaGuard's own FAQ says to contact it for help finding a shop. Make that contact before any repair so your claim stays clean.

Questions people ask

Can I use my AvantaGuard warranty at an independent shop in Miami?

What information does AvantaGuard need for a claim?
Its claims page asks for the contract number, the last 6 digits of the VIN, your name and phone, the vehicle concern, and the repair facility's name and contact. We fill in the diagnosis and estimate.
Does AvantaGuard pay the shop directly?
AvantaGuard's FAQ says the shop sends the invoice to AvantaGuard after an approved repair and AvantaGuard pays the shop up front. You pay your deductible and any non covered items.
Can the shop fix it first and bill AvantaGuard later?
No. AvantaGuard tells customers to have the repair facility call for the OK before performing the repair. We wait for that answer before covered work.
